An Experience Like No Other

Built in the year 1950, by late Sri. S. Kesavan, a great leader and visionary, to home his wife and children. Now it is home for his youngest son and family. An architectural monument with terracotta floor, wooden walls, wooden attic and tiled roof, now renovated to include modern facilties without harming the exterior and interior beauty.

The homestay is located at a peaceful serene village area just 200 meters away from the famous Vembanad lake, where one can indulge in the calmness and fresh fragrance of mother nature. The area includes 3 acres of agricultural land, with lot of trees of different species , medicinal plants and herbs, vegetable garden, a few ponds with fish and a stream with flowing water on two sides. The area is non polluted and one can really feel the purity of breathing air.

The homestay is well protected by a compound wall ensuring total privacy and security . The place is visited by lots of birds and one can indulge in fishing, relax in hammock and garden swings. There is ample scope for fresh air and peace of mind, and by staying for a few days one can get rejuvenated and recharged.

The facilities include 2 suite rooms (purposefully limited in number to facilitate total privacy for the guests) with attached bathrooms. The rooms can be occupied either by two families one in each suite or exclusively by one family by occupying one suite and keeping the other vacant, again for total privacy.

In addition to the suites, there is also an art gallery and library. Canopy rides and cycle rides for watching the village life and festivals related to temples and churches. Traditional dance and art forms like Kathakali, Bharatanatyam, Thiruvathira, Panchavadyam etc can be arranged on prior request. Ayurvedic massages, sight seeing trips, boating in houseboats, shikaras and canoes can also be arranged on request.

Tourist destinations like Kumarakom, Alappuzha, Fort Cochin etc are within a radius of 30 Kilometers.
